If we schooled we weren’t the amatory kind, we would have saved the small assent of mind. My friends told me we would mangle my heart, And never last, we would certainly part. There’s no fume but fire, Baby, baby you’re the liar. People speak in this small town, Rumours keep swelling all around. And right away word has it you’ve been foolin’ me, I’m so blind which we cannot see. My friends told me never to hold in you, You never desired me we were never true. There’s no fume but fire, Baby, baby you’re the liar. No there’s no fume but fire. Baby, baby you’re the liar. You’re the liar You’re the liar You’re the liar Baby you’re the liar. There’s no light but the flame, There’s no make use of in carrying we to blame. No There’s no fume but fire. Baby, baby you’re the liar. You’re the liar

Duffy looks like a cross between Bardot and Juliette Greco in those snaps, very appropriate for the film … good work NatCrit.
Wonder if this song qualifies for the best original song in a movie Oscar?
BTW Duffy and Carey Mulligan have something in common, Liverpool Irish fathers and Welsh speaking mothers … must be a good genetic mix in the creativity stakes.
