@sgsfdgfsdfsdfsddf The Soviet Union? Waiting for 20 minutes is like the Soviet Union? They only made you wait because otherwise you would be waiting for the bus or your parents OUT IN THE STREET.

Home Schooling is great for some, my sister and I were Home schooled and went and got our GED’s and got a better education then we would have if we would have stayed in the public schools. She has ADD and I have ADHD so the one on one teaching was a hell of a lot better. We both went and got our GEDs and score higher than we did in school. My sister graduated a year earlier as well.

@ooMONKEYoo most home schoolers on the coasts are not evangelicals. poor families seldom home school as if they get govt assistance, they are required to send kids to govt school. [surrender your children to the state for indoctrination].

@dangerouslytalented That was my point exactly (through the anger and sarcasm!). I fail to see how the forefathers argument supports unschooling. They did the best they could with the resources available to them at the time, which is what smart people do! So now that we have qualified teachers and schools as part of our resources, let’s be smart and use them! No? Restricting our children to our personal knowledge is to prevent them access to information, which generally leads to more ignorance.

@CrunkRockSteadyEvan fascist style government in the school to me is a reason not to send my kids. green gun gets you expelled? not getting good grades even

  10. sgsfdgfsdfsdfsddf Says:

school is like the soviet union…
and I remember how they want there school to end at a certain time. they make you sit for 20 minutes until school is over but teacher done teaching…
    even by minutes
go outside to play when teachers are done? no kids are to stupid sit down and shut up!
Dont talk unless raised hand. green guns makes you get expelled.

  11. CrunkRockSteadyEvan Says:

the government isnt doing anything insidious by providing a system that keeps kids in an urbanized environment busy all day at the very worst and prepared for life at the very best
if you dont like it then move to a 3rd world country and pray to your god while you die on untreated water

  12. CrunkRockSteadyEvan Says:

no university, no publishing, no science

you can still send your kids to public school and inject your personal dogmas into your kids
nothing is stopping you from teaching your kids after school and on weekends and during winter, spring and summer breaks

  13. sgsfdgfsdfsdfsddf Says:

@dangerouslytalented funny that the website is a legal defence website that defends homeschoolers legal rights, BUT AS SOON AS PROFIT STARTS TO COME

but then again I get alot of my sources from businesses… like you do that are funded by people! like Fox, CBS, ABC, CNN are all funded by public school people… so they would hate to prove them right? OH WAIT

  14. sgsfdgfsdfsdfsddf Says:

@dangerouslytalented funny attack the source but when you really look at your point you have none…

you cant find this website to be fudging facts. like I said MSNBC and CBS or Fox would love to prove 99% of the country right

  15. dangerouslytalented Says:

@sgsfdgfsdfsdfsddf Try giving me a source that is not from, or was not funded by, a business that sells homeschooling supplies.

  19. seattle8686 Says:

@genie0390 And of course Saddam had WMD but that was prior to 2000….all WMD’s had been destroyed by the time Bush came into office…did you fall asleep during the 90′s and Desert Storm..I’m curious

  20. seattle8686 Says:

@genie0390 …it isn’t confidential…..you can read about it….president Bush told the American people at the time that Sadam had ordered the UN out, when in fact, if you read the actual report the New York Times/ Wall Street Journal reported, it was in fact, Bush who headed up the UN sanctions and decided the inspection to be concluded.

  21. sgsfdgfsdfsdfsddf Says:

@dangerouslytalented if it wasnt effective then there would be ONE studied that showed the majority of the population was right…

or is less than 1% of the population so powerful? teachers union and democratic party are against homeschooling but wonder why a MAJORITY cant find proof the MINORITY is wrong

  22. SinnFein4ever Says:

    @seattle8686

    Pleased to meet you.
