		<description>Try google scholar for academic research papers, there has been a lot of research done into gats education!

I did a paper on this topic last year at uni, and something I found was that many studies found little or no academic advantage to these students to being put into a separate class.

When gifted and talented students are in a mixed ability class, they are able to help other students (peer teaching) which is of advantage to all students (there is heaps of research on this too!)
