What are the education requirements to be a photographer? Classes? Graduate programs? Degree? Any qualifying tests?

You can pretty much start your own photography business with just a few classes that you can take at community college. To be successful, you are going to want to take at least a few advanced classes in photography and digital art as well as business classes to run your business.
If you want to work for a company or be a photojournalist, you will need to go on and get at least a associate’s degee, or a bachelors or even masters. You can get them in Jounalism or Art with a focus on Photography.

You don’t have to have any education to be a photographer. You take photos. However, to be really good, classes can help you. Sometimes you can get classes in high school or in Vocational School. If you were going to teach photography, as a high school class, then you have to have a BA or BS degree and take classes, and teaching type classes. I don’t know if they hae certification for photographer.
To be good you need classes in composition and form and color. You might want to learn how to develop our own photos. My kids took some classes in high school and they enjoyed it, but they didn’t do much with it.

There are no educational requirements as such but courses in photography should be helpful as well as a portfolio of your work./
